Oil painting practise. Still life of two cubes.

Value study.

Painting from memory. I realise if you can simplify what u are looking at. With a basic value scale. (Either a five scale range or a ten scale range. ) Alocating a rough range of values to different part of the scene you are looking at. You can roughy capture the illusion of light. But then again. Best situation is just go there and do a plein air painting. Just some exercise I have been trying out to practise even when i don't have any paint or sketchbook with me. :P

Oil painting practise. The idea for this is mainly to try to understand how basic shape and material works.

Trying to limit myself to a small value range and see how far i can push. Exploring Tonal values.

Still life of a Halo toy on My table. Think I didn't prime my canvas properly. The paint can't seem to grip properly. T^T Try try again.

Another experiment i did. Trying a different working process.
